Syntax-Brillian Goes On Offensive Against Its Execs

Law360, New York (November 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Bankrupt TV maker Syntax-Brillian Corp. is looking to bring breach of fiduciary duty claims against some of its executives for allegedly failing to implement adequate financial controls and to exercise proper oversight.

In an emergency motion filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, Syntax-Brillian asked for an order granting the creditors’ committee standing to prosecute actions on behalf of the debtors’ estates against current and former officers and directors.
