Diving Co. Recalls Compressors Over Drowning Risk

Law360, New York (November 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A line of air compressors used for diving underwater has been recalled because of a possible drowning risk, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and manufacturer Brownie’s Third Lung announced Wednesday.

The company manufactures air compressors that provide air in a hookah format, allowing multiple divers to swim underwater using separate breathing hoses from one air source, which floats above the water on a buoy.
