ACCC Rejects Air Canada, Air NZ Flight Pact

Law360, New York (November 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Australia's competition regulator has frowned on a cooperation agreement between Air Canada and Air New Zealand Ltd., saying the pact would harm competition on the Australia-to-Canada flight route.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission issued a draft determination Wednesday to deny the airlines authority to implement the five-year joint venture.
