Judge Tosses Pilots' Contract Suit V. US Airways

Law360, New York (November 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought by a group of former America West Airlines Inc. pilots against US Airways Inc., which merged with America West in 2005, alleging that the pilots were not treated fairly when the two companies integrated their seniority lists.

However, the court let stand a claim the pilots brought against their union, the U.S. Airline Pilots Association, for allegedly breaching its duty to represent them fairly.
