DOJ OKs Deep-Pocketed Consortium Of Insurers

Law360 (November 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A proposed consortium of commercial insurers that would pool their resources to offer coverage in excess of $250 million has been given the green light by the U.S. Department of Justice.

The department's antitrust division said Monday that the formation and operation of the consortium proposed by Ivy Capital Group LLC would not likely harm competition in the industry, but could enhance it.
