Proskauer Rose Revealed Worker Tax Info In Phishing Scam

By Kali Hays (April 6, 2016, 7:34 PM EDT) -- Proskauer Rose LLP employees were recently the victims of a phishing scam carried out through a fake email sent to the New York-based firm that led to worker's personal tax information being disclosed, a Proskauer representative confirmed Wednesday.

The firm became aware of the scam on March 31, after it complied with an email from an "unauthorized third party" claiming to be a senior executive making a purportedly "legitimate request" for employees' 2015 W-2 tax forms.
