Hazardous Cargo Wasn't Marked As Such: Airline Suit

Law360, New York (December 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Baggage handlers for American Airlines Inc. have accused Everlight Chemical Industrial Corp. of making them ill by shipping hazardous chemicals without marking them or providing safety instructions.

The complaint, lodged in the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, claims that nine baggage handlers required medical attention after loading a shipment of clothing-dye chemicals from Everlight that the company neglected to properly label.
