Call Center Workers' Suits Against Verizon Joined

Law360 (December 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Two collective actions brought by disgruntled call center workers seeking unpaid overtime from Verizon Communications Inc. have been consolidated for trial in a federal court in Florida.

Judge Virginia Hernandez Covington of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida issued her order in chambers Monday, saying the two cases were “nearly identical.”
