Rambus General Counsel Steps Down

Law360 (July 28, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After five years and dozens of high-stakes patent and antitrust lawsuits, former Rambus Inc. general counsel John Danforth is moving down in the company.

The once general counsel, senior vice president and secretary of the company is now a “senior legal advisor,” according to Rambus.

Robert Kramer, the company’s deputy general counsel, will take the reins for the legal department until the position is filled, the company said.

The Silicon Valley-based company gave no reason for Danforth’s demotion, but the news came on the same day...
