Bayer May Face Canadian Class Action Over Trasylol

Law360 (December 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Already facing dozens of suits in the U.S. over Trasylol, Bayer AG has now been hit with a proposed class action in Canada over the blood-clotting drug, which some studies have indicated can cause potentially fatal side effects.

On Thursday, Ontario-based law firm Siskinds LLP revealed that it had launched a proposed class action earlier in the week, accusing Bayer of withholding knowledge of Trasylol's potential side effects from consumers.
