EU Seeks Comments On Horizontal Cooperation Rules

Law360, New York (December 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The European Commission is asking the public to help develop new rules on horizontal cooperation agreements based on their experiences in the market, with special emphasis on the exemptions that could boost economic growth by promoting specialization and research and development.

The commission announced Thursday that it was asking stakeholders, including businesses and consumer groups, to submit comments about their experience with existing competition rules by Jan. 30.
