Getrag Sues Chrysler Over Aborted Ind. Plant Deal

Law360, New York (December 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Bankrupt auto parts supplier Getrag Transmission Manufacturing LLC has filed a lawsuit against Chrysler LLC over a failed agreement to build a transmission plant in Indiana, which prompted Getrag’s Chapter 11 petition last month.

In the complaint, filed Thursday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, Germany-based Getrag alleges that Chrysler failed to uphold its end of a deal to help finance the construction of a Tipton, Ind., facility for the manufacture of high-tech dual-clutch transmissions.
