Limestone Co. Struck With $167K Clean Air Fine

Law360, New York (December 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Limestone manufacturer National Lime and Stone Co. has been slapped with a $167,000 fine by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, which has accused it of releasing air pollutants that exceed levels permitted by the Clean Air Act.

The EPA filed an administrative complaint on Nov. 17 against Findlay, Ohio-based National Lime and Stone after tests revealed that a mineral processing plant in Carey, Ohio, had violated federal and state emissions requirements.
