Twinkie Maker Wins Approval For Reorganization Plan

Law360 (December 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A bankruptcy court has confirmed Interstate Bakeries Corp.'s plan of reorganization, clearing the way for the company to emerge from Chapter 11 as an intact stand-alone company within the next few weeks.

Judge Jerry W. Venters of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri ruled on Friday that the plan, having won the approval of a majority of the company's creditors, met all statutory requirements for confirmation.
