Boston Scientific, Cook Medical Face Vein-Filter Suits

Law360, Los Angeles (May 6, 2016, 10:07 PM EDT) -- Boston Scientific Corp. and Cook Medical Inc. were hit on Friday with product-liability suits in Kentucky federal court accusing them of making faulty vena cava filters that shifted or caused blockages in injured patients who had deep vein thrombosis.

The suits accuse the companies of negligently designing and making Boston Scientific Greenfield Vena Cava Filters and Cook Celect Vena Cava Filters that were implanted in women to control pulmonary embolisms.
