House Panel Scrutinizes Bush's 'Midnight Regs'

Law360 (December 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- As the Bush administration finalizes a slew of “midnight regulations,” a U.S. House of Representatives committee on energy and climate change is reviewing the rules its chairman says will have “serious negative impacts” on the environment.

The Select Committee for Energy Independence and Global Warming held a hearing Thursday with a panel of regulatory and environmental experts to investigate the Bush administration's last-minute rules.
