Dreier LLP Hightails It To Bankruptcy

Law360, New York (December 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A day after the judge gave the green light, the court-appointed receiver in the Dreier case has filed for bankruptcy on behalf of the New York-based law firm in the wake of founder and sole equity partner Marc S. Dreier's arrest on fraud charges.

Receiver Mark Pomerantz, a partner at Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison, officially filed for Chapter 11 late Tuesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York after hinting at the move for days.
