Baker & McKenzie Snags Former FTC Commissioner

Law360 (December 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Baker & McKenzie LLP has snapped up former U.S. Federal Trade Commission Commissioner Mary L. Azcuenaga as a partner in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office from now-defunct Heller Ehrman LLP.

Azcuenaga practiced at Heller for 10 years, serving as the co-chair of its antitrust & trade regulation practice group for six.

A 25-year veteran at the FTC, Azcuenaga was appointed by two different U.S. presidents to back-to-back, seven-year terms as an FTC Commissioner from 1984 to 1998. She is the only person in the commission's history...
