Senate Panel Advances 4 Federal Judges, Hints At Floor Votes

Law360, Washington (June 16, 2016, 12:51 PM EDT) -- The Senate’s Judiciary Committee advanced the nominations for two district judges for Louisiana, one for Indiana and one for the Seventh Circuit Thursday, in the first committee votes on judicial nominees since May.

The panel advanced the three district judges by voice vote and the nominee for the Seventh Circuit, Quarles & Brady LLP partner Donald Karl Schott, by a vote of 13 to 7.
