MillerCoors To Stop Selling Alcoholic Energy Drink

Law360 (December 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Under pressure from attorneys general nationwide, MillerCoors LLC has agreed to stop making the controversial caffeine-infused alcoholic energy drink Sparks by next month and to refrain from launching a similar product in the future.

On Thursday, more than a dozen state attorneys general spread word of a broad, 14-state agreement with the Milwaukee-based beer king, hailing the discontinuation of the popular energy drink as a win for underage consumers in particular.
