Fearing Oversize Pills, KV Freezes Pill Shipments

Law360, New York (December 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- KV Pharmaceutical Co. has voluntarily frozen all shipments of drugs in pill form while it reviews its production process in the wake of a series of recalls due to oversize pills.

The company is also recalling a single production lot of its generic pain drug hydromorphone HCl, responding to a report of an oversize pill, KV announced on Dec. 23.
