Property Claims Tossed In BP Oil Pipeline Suit

Law360, New York (December 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has dismissed property damage claims from a lawsuit against BP Oil Pipeline Co. brought by a couple who say they were exposed to harmful contaminants from an oil pipeline BP operated more than 40 years ago, leaving personal injury claims in play.

In an order signed Dec. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, Judge John R. Adams granted BP's motion to dismiss the property claims from the plaintiffs' amended complaint, which BP argued had previously been resolved...
