8th Circ. Snuffs IGM Investors' Suit Against Law Firm

Law360 (December 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Affirming a lower court ruling, a federal appeals court has shot down allegations that a law firm overseeing the ill-fated purchase of International Gaming Management Inc. stock misled investors and caused their losses.

Judges Roger L. Wollman, C. Arlen Beam and Duane Benton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit on Monday flatly refused a bid by investors to hold Day & Campbell LLP liable for the purchase of stock that failed to be registered before a criminal investigation led to IGM’s collapse....
