$165M Suit Filed Over Tenn. Coal Ash Spill

Law360, New York (December 31, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The owners of a housing development in Tennessee have reportedly filed the first of what is likely to be many lawsuits over the recent spill of more than a billion gallons of coal ash sludge.

The Associated Press reported that Jot and Brenda Raymond, owners and developers of North Lake Estates near the site of the spill in Kingston, Tenn., filed the suit Tuesday in state court.
