BigLaw Salaries Dwarf The Average Lawyer's, Report Says

Law360, New York (July 7, 2016, 5:28 PM EDT) -- As first-year associates at a number of prominent law firms celebrate their new $180,000 yearly salaries, a report out on Thursday shows just how exceptional the pay at many BigLaw firms is when compared to the rest of the legal world.

The highest paid lawyers in the industry are intellectual property attorneys, according to an analysis by law firm management software company Practice Panther. And they, on average, make $155,000 a year, regardless of experience level.
