EPA, PNE Settle Suit Over Diesel Spill

Law360, New York (January 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Pacific Northwest Environmental Corp. has settled federal and state claims that it violated the Clean Water Act when one of its tanker trucks rolled over, discharging more than 8,000 gallons of diesel onto Oregon shorelines and into state waters.

On Dec. 31, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, the federal government and the state of Oregon filed a complaint alleging CWA violations against PNE concurrently with a consent decree reached with the company settling those claims.
