Autodesk Sues German Software Maker Over Copyrights

Law360 (October 17, 2003, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Autodesk, the maker of AutoCAD and other software for architects and designers, filed a lawsuit against German software developer LT-Extender, alleging copyright infringement, Autodesk said in a statement released Friday.

Autodesk claims LT-Extender is "unlawfully manipulating Autodesk's AutoCAD LT software and inciting the unauthorized copying of AutoCAD files to offer extended functionality that is unsupported by Autodesk," the company said.
