MGA Can Sell Bratz Dolls Until End Of '09: Judge

Law360 (January 8, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Reversing course, the federal judge presiding over the intellectual property dispute between Barbie maker Mattel Inc. and MGA Entertainment Inc. has decided to give the manufacturer a few more months to sell Bratz dolls before removing them from the market.

On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Stephen Larson ruled that the infringing dolls could be sold until the end of 2009, modifying a permanent injunction order handed down last month that would have required the toys to be off shelves by February.
