Judge Weighs Future Of Docs On Prosecutor Firings

Law360 (January 8, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge is considering a request by congressional lawmakers to require the Bush White House to pass documents related to the controversial firings of nine federal prosecutors over to the Obama administration, rather than sending them to the National Archives.

Judge John D. Bates of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia heard arguments Thursday on a motion from the Judiciary Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives.
