Airlines Association Urges Jet Fuel Inquiry

Law360, New York (August 7, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Association of European Airlines has asked regulators to investigate the jet fuel market for “questionable competitive practices” after costs increased 37% from last year, the association said on Monday.

Airlines spend up to a quarter of their costs on jet fuel, said the association, a group of 31 of the largest European airlines.
