Agencies Issue Draft Safety Guidelines For Importers

Law360 (January 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A group of federal agencies has issued draft guidance for importers, aiming to create standards companies can refer to in order to help ensure that their products are safe and in compliance with U.S. regulations.

The draft guidance outlines methods and procedures that could help firms anticipate potential sources of hazardous products and outlines prevention measures that can be implemented to cut back on potential dangers.
