Wyeth, Pfizer Push To Get Prempro MDL Tossed

Law360, New York (January 14, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A group of drugmakers, including Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Inc., Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. and Pfizer Inc., struck a defiant tone Monday in a massive multidistrict litigation accusing them of advertising and selling hormone treatments that cause breast cancer, denying all allegations and asking for the case to be dismissed.

Wyeth, the first named defendant in the case, argued in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas, among other things, that the manufacture, marketing and labeling of the products in question was controlled by federal law...
