By Brian Amaral (August 25, 2016, 1:16 PM EDT) -- Three nonprofit organizations slapped General Mills with a suit in Washington, D.C., on Thursday alleging that its line of Nature Valley granola bars secretly contain an ingredient that is found in the herbicide Roundup.
Despite labels stating that the suite of products is made with "100% natural whole grain oats," testing done by the plaintiffs revealed the presence of glyphosate, the Organic Consumers Association, Moms Across America and Beyond Pesticides said in a complaint on behalf of consumers. General Mills did not reveal the presence of glyphosate, the groups said.
