FDA Releases New Safety Guidelines

Law360, New York (January 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- In an effort to protect the food, feed and drugs coming into the country, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has issued a new set of guidelines tackling such issues as third-party certification, laboratory packages and the standardization of the drug supply chain.

On Thursday, the FDA revealed the industry guidelines, aiming to ensure the safety of FDA-regulated products in the supply chain, according to the agency.
