CPSC Recalls 500,000 Bosch, Siemens Dishwashers

Law360, New York (January 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for nearly 500,000 Bosch- and Siemens-brand dishwashers after the agency received reports that the machines had caused several fires.

The affected dishwashers, recalled on Thursday, retail for approximately $500 to $1,100 and were manufactured by BSH Home Appliances Corp. of Huntington Beach, Calif.
