House Stimulus Bill Includes Green Energy Grants

Law360 (January 16, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- In an effort to help better spur renewable energy production, lawmakers in the U.S. House of Representatives have included a plan in their proposed economic stimulus package to provide funding for wind, solar and other renewable energy projects using grants instead of certain tax incentives.

The plan, which has been tucked in among a slew of other renewable energy incentives, would be administered by the U.S. Department of Energy, the House Ways and Means Committee announced Thursday.
