Analog Devices Wins Injunction Vs. Chinese Company In India

Law360, New York (January 25, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- A Delhi High Court has granted Analog Devices an injunction barring an Indian firm from distributing chips made by Shanghai Belling Co., a Chinese semiconductor maker. Analog said the chips were illegal copies.

The injunction temporarily halts HiTek Electronics in New Delhi from distributing the Shanghai chips, used in digital energy meters.

Digital energy metering chips are used in meters to measure the use of electricity in homes, apartments and businesses.
