Medical Groups Dismissed From Prempro MDL

Law360, New York (January 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Three medical organizations have been dismissed from a slew of lawsuits brought over the advertisement and sale of hormone treatments that allegedly cause breast cancer.

In an order Friday, Judge William Wilson Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas approved a joint motion to dismiss the American College of Physicians, the National Committee for Quality Assurance, and the American College of Gynecologists and Obstetricians from hundreds of cases in the Prempro products multidistrict litigation.
