Chinese Families Sue Dairies Over Melamine: Report

Law360, New York (January 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- In the latest development in China's melamine scandal, more than 200 families of children sickened by tainted milk have reportedly lobbed a product liability lawsuit at a group of milk producers in the country's highest court.

The lawsuit was filed in the Supreme People's Court by 213 families late last week, the Associated Press reported Monday, citing Xu Zhiyong, a Beijing attorney who is one of the lawyers representing the families.
