Orwell Antitrust Suit Against Dominion Gets Go-Ahead

Law360, New York (January 21, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has ruled that Orwell Natural Gas Co. can proceed with antitrust and other claims against leading natural gas supplier Dominion Resources Services Inc. in a suit alleging the industry giant engaged in predatory pricing to poach one of Orwell’s northeast Ohio customers.

Judge Donald C. Nugent issued the order Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, denying Dominion’s motion to dismiss the suit and stating that Orwell had adequately pled its claims.
