ABA House To Weigh Lateral Move Rules

Law360, New York (January 21, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The American Bar Association's House of Delegates is gearing up to vote on dozens of policies, including two proposals that could potentially change the screening policies for attorneys looking to switch firms.

The 555-member House of Delegates will consider a wide range of issues, including the treatment of juvenile sex offenders and the habeas corpus petitions of detainees at the Guantanamo Navel Base, when they meet Feb. 16 in Boston for the association's 2009 midyear meeting.
