Pols To Investigate Solar-Energy Firms Over Tax Incentives

Law360, New York (September 19, 2016, 11:56 AM EDT) -- U.S. Senate and House of Representatives leaders have told seven residential solar industry companies and solar utilities companies they are going to be formally investigated over whether they wrongfully received billions in tax credits from the government, expanding on an inquiry that started earlier this year.

The House Ways and Means Committee and the Senate Finance Committee sent letters to solar utility companies Abengoa SA, NextEra Energy Inc., NRG Energy Inc. and SunEdison Inc., and to solar residential companies SolarCity Corp., Sunrun Inc. and Sungevity Inc.
