DC Circ. Revives Award For Fired Postal Worker

Law360, New York (January 26, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- An appellate court has reversed a lower court's decision to vacate the reinstatement of a probationary employee with the U.S. Postal Service, ruling that the arbitration award shouldn't have been overturned because it drew its essence from a collective bargaining agreement.

In a decision Friday, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit revived the award for terminated USPS employee Lorraine Daliessio.
