Court OK’s Bonus For FLYi Employees

Law360, New York (August 10, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal bankruptcy judge approved up to $1.4 million in employee bonuses Tuesday to entice FLYi Inc.’s workers to stay with the bankrupt airline while it liquidates.

According to Judge Mary Walrath of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Del., the bonuses were needed to compensate a workforce being paid below-market wages and to stop workers from moving to other companies.
