EU Court Denies Intel Plea To Delay Antritrust Case

Law360, New York (January 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A European court has rejected a bid by Intel Corp. to stay an antitrust probe by the European Commission into allegations that the computer chip giant abused its dominant position in the microprocessor market.

The European Court of First Instance issued an order Tuesday denying Intel's request to suspend the deadline to respond to the EC's charges that it engaged in anti-competitive behavior to muscle a rival out of business.
