SEC Backs Speedy Decision On FIA Rule

Law360 (January 28, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has joined a group of insurance companies in a bid to have a federal appeals court speed up its review of the insurers' challenge to an SEC rule treating fixed indexed annuities as securities, part of a deal under which the insurers withdrew a stay motion they had previously filed with the SEC.
