Judge Sets Deadline For Prempro MDL Discovery

Law360, New York (January 28, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The judge presiding over a slew of cases alleging that Prempro and related hormone-replacement drugs cause breast cancer has ordered the plaintiffs to end their drawn-out discovery involving defendants Pfizer Inc. and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Inc. by Sept. 1.

On Tuesday, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas, Judge William R. Wilson set the deadline for discovery involving defendants Pfizer and Wyeth, which markets Prempro, for which the multidistrict litigation over hormone treatments is named.
