FDA Warns Of Addictive Drug In Bodybuilding Pills

Law360, New York (January 28, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has warned consumers not to take the bodybuilding supplement Venom Hyperdrive 3.0 after discovering it contains a controlled substance that could become addictive.

Applied Lifescience Research Industries Inc., which markets the energy booster, initiated a recall of all Venom Hyperdrive 3.0 lots in December in response to the FDA's finding that samples contained sibutramine, the agency said Tuesday.
