US, Korea Adopt 'Patent Prosecution Highway'

Law360 (January 28, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A program designed to expedite the patent application process by allowing U.S. and Korean patent authorities to work together more closely will become official Jan. 29.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the Korean Intellectual Property Office said they are implementing the so-called Patent Prosecution Highway on a full-time basis following a successful trial run that began in January 2008.
