Ohio Town Sues SunCoke To Stop New Coke Plant

Law360 (January 29, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A city in Ohio has sued a unit of Sunoco Inc. to halt the construction of a coke manufacturing plant that it claims evades federal emissions laws.

The city of Monroe lodged the lawsuit on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio in an effort to prevent SunCoke Energy Inc. and its subsidiary Middletown Coke Co. Inc. from building a plant in Middletown, Ohio, near a Monroe residential district.
